In exactly t-minus 8 hours, I will be in one of these, on my way to Vancouver... then it's off to Alaska on a cruise ship! I won't have cellular service or any access to internet while on the ship, so I'll see you all when I get back. I'll post pictures as soon as I am able to connect back into the internet world that I have come to know and rely on way too much. It'll be quite interesting and nice to be on hiatus from the internet world for a bit... pure freedom!

Ciao for now...

It's felt more like a "busy" vacation rather than a "relaxing" one, that's for sure. These past few days in Florida have consisted of long car rides, lots of walking, trying to adjust to the time change, shopping, eating, and avoid getting caught in daily afternoon thunderstorms, just to name a few. It's been great, though... nothing beats spending time with family. The weather has been better than I thought it would be, it's hot, but not as hot as I expected... and the daily afternoon thunderstorms don't last longer than an hour, so it's really not too bad. Today we drove to Cocoa Beach and shopped at Ron Jon's Surf Shop. It's huge... and they are open 24/7! Crazy... not sure who in their right mind shops there at 3 a.m.! Tweakers? Dean found a pair of Insight surf shorts on sale, and I took a picture of these hats, because yes, I do heart beer. Haha. I'm already exhausted, but it's only the beginning...

Today marks the start of my 13 "fun filled" days of vacation. It's strange getting up in the morning, not having to get ready and fight traffic to get to work on time. My family and I will be leaving for Orlando, Florida tonight... my niece is getting married and I'm a bridesmaid in her wedding... (Yes, you read right, my niece is getting married... she's 4 years younger than me... her father is my older brother by 17 years. I know what you're thinking... no, I wasn't a mistake, I was last hope for a girl). I'm really looking forward to her wedding and bachelorette party... haha. It's been a while since I've travelled anywhere, it'll be nice to get away for a little bit. Hope the heat doesn't kill me there... or the lightning. The two things I don't look forward to when it comes to traveling are 1) packing and 2) the plane rides. No matter how much I say "I'm going to pack light", it never seems to work. I truly try, but cannot help myself for some reason. We'll see how well I can live up to that statement today... heh. We have several stops to get to Florida... first to LA... then to Denver... and to our final destination, Orlando Florida. I've got my portable DVD player and my 5 seasons of NCIS to keep me calm and sane. Stay safe, everyone! I'll try to post from Florida, but not sure what the internet situation will be like, so we'll see.
