Been meaning to post this, but I've been laggin' on the blog postings as of late. I recently had a spread in the latest issue of Contrast Magazine... We Own the Night: The streets of Downtown, Honolulu light up every First Friday of the month. If you haven't picked up the latest "Downtown" issue of Contrast Magazine, go get one!

All photos taken with my Leica D-Lux 4.

It's Friday, today is payday, and Monday is a Holiday! I'm lovin' it! It's also First Friday... AND... my friend Nora is visiting from Japan, so I may try to make it out tonight... we'll see though because I have two art projects due next week and I gotta get up somewhat early tomorrow to get to the UH Manoa Bookstore before they close at 11:30 a.m. I have to pick up a few art supplies and I decided to purchase Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium with my student discount, even though I'm sure they will come out with Creative Suite 5 in about 6 months or so... but whatever... it's virtually impossible to keep up, unless you are filthy rich, which I am not. Anyway, maybe I'll see you out in the streets of downtown tonight...

Have a great long weekend!

Dj Kause spun at Mercury Bar this past First Friday in Downtown Honolulu. It's been a while since he's made an appearance, and it was the perfect opportunity for me to go out and test my new flash. Afterward, we stopped by that new club Soho, a.k.a. the old Club Pauahi. It looks so different in there... pretty cool... Dean and I were calling it "Sohowaiian" all night. Haha. Here are a few random photos I took that night... I wasn't comfortable taking people shots, so I mostly took photos of alcoholic beverages instead. Enjoy.
